How long can flowers look fresh for?

My civil wedding is this Saturday and we have a friend of the family who will make my bouquet the day of, this being said I won't have time to pick up the flowers the morning of.

Would they still look fresh if I picked them up the night before and kept them in water?

Depending on what kind of flowers, I would think that would be fine but I would check with the florist just to be sure.

We put together the arrangements for my wedding reception a full 24 hours in advance.

Just keep the flowers in the Fridge. :-)

you can just pick the up the night before and keep them in some water container and keep them in dark place, it would be quite fresh than jus keepin them in water container.

3 maybe 4 days keep in a room cool not really cool like 64' degrees ok,, fed em that powder stuff that they give you a spinkle each day but good luck go here   barbs flower shop in ladysmith -wi look it up in google she is one of the best answer's of this sort thanks good luck

A few days but you should pick up the flowers the day before or the day of your wedding.

It would depend on the type of flower used.

Things like Asiatic lilies can start to look bruised and tired quite easily while lavender will look fresh for quite a long time.

It is important to keep the flowers cold as well as in water.  If you visit a florist, they will be able to get you some water additive to prolong the life of cut flowers.  If you can, keep the flowers covered, the stems in water, and in a fridge or cool room for as long as possible
