I hit a pothole sometime last week. It threw my alignment out but i got that fixed. I now have two bent rims, both on the right side. I was wondering if driving on these for a few weeks will s***w anything else up?

  1. you will be ok until the bead fails and the tire goes flat.  hopefully you will be going under 45 mph so the resulting collision won't hurt you too bad.

    is the balance still true?

  2. not too long, it will eat the tires up and in the first place, why did they align your car with 2 bent rims?

  3. Yes, it can.  Riding on a bent rim will have the same effect as an out-of-balance tire.  The tire will wear irregularly, and cause premature aging of the tire.

For starters, take the front rim off, and replace it with the spare tire.  Spring for a new or used rim to replace the other asap.  In a couple of weeks you can get the other one replaced as well, and remove the spare.

If you leave the tires on the bent rims, they will not last very long.

  4. No, but you will want to replace them quickly. You should be able to get rims at a salvage yard. Driving much longer will put stress on the wheel bearings and add up to more repairs.

  5. ur gonna get in a terrible accident if you don't change them
