How long can i store cooked dal (with indian spices)?

Hi,

I made Split Moong dal ( yellow) with onions, and tempered it with a onlin ginger garlic paste n tomato , haldi n chilli - i made it two days back but we dint eat it - shall i discard or can be used?

  1. dal can be used and re-used for a maximum of three days...and NOT more than that.....

    just store it in a deep bottomed bowl, cover and refrigerate.....

    every time you heat it add a quarter cup of water to the thick dal...


  2. You don't have to throw it, but mung dal usually tastes best when it is freshly made.  When you are using leftover dal, you can temper it again with little more seasoning and lime/lemon juice to make it taste like it was just made.

  3. u can freeze it next time if u want 2 eat later

    now if ur daal not smells rotten so u can eat it bt cook it before eating for 5 to 8 minutes wid quater cup of water

  4. It's ok to eat now.. but if you want to keep it longer, freeze it.  Then when you want it, defrost and eat right away.
