  1. Of course file charges, and make sure a detailed report is filed,,,,,use any witnesses you may have, past or present.

*FILE FOR SOLE CUSTODY NOW* based on the events. He will use this child to stay close to you.

1.) Aggressively acquire a restraining order! Don't give up!

2.) Get pictures of any scars left from the attacks. Or acquire any that may have been taken at the time.

3.) You AND your mother write a personal letter to the judge, describing your fear upon his release and the events etc. (they have to notify you upon his release).

4.) Get some NON-LETHAL protection such as pepper spray/Taser etc., for you and mom. (SecuritySaint.com is a great place to start).

5.) Seek some counseling for these events,,,,,,find out why you would stay with someone who "dragged your mom". There are issues weather you see them or not.

6.) You may want to seek civil action towards him?

7.) File for child support as soon as child is born.

8.) DO NOT ANSWER HIS PHONE CALLS FOR ANY REASON....ABOLISH ALL CONTACT!!!!

And most important>>> look for a spiritual solution to heal emotionally. Connecting with other women who have gone through similar will help lots~

These are positive actions you may want to look into.....

  2. If you haven't had him arrested already, they'll want to know why you waited so long. He may get 6 months for DV.

  3. Did you file charges? If you did not call on this right away than he is scotch free. get out while you can. he needs to be shot.

  4. you need to check your state and your staute of limitations... every state has there own laws when it comes to any legal matters, i would talk to a police officer he can tell you, but most important of remove yourself form this situation and get a restraining order to pervent something like this happening again without reprocussions.
