I am using centerpieces like these: http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/0/05/Floating_wedding_candles.jpg

for my wedding on Saturday, Aug 2.

The orchids will arrive on Thursday, July 31.

How far in advance could we submerge the whole orchids? I just want to make sure they don't get damaged.

Thanks!

  1. Best thing to do is to refrigerate the blooms (make sure they do not get frost bitten)  and set up your candles on the day of the wedding.  Congrats!

  2. You should put them in water right away, cut the stem on an angle so they can drink the water and not get clogged leave the flowers on the stem until you are ready to make the arrangements, also if they come with flower food use it and like the other person said put them in the refrigerator, but in the front, not the back, it's colder in the back, that will cause them to wilt, I would make the arrangement the night before the wedding, they can last up to 3 weeks in water. Good luck and congratulations to you.
