How long can the side effects of overdosing on morphine last? ?

my friend is writing a story and she needs to know How long can the side effects of overdosing on morphine last?

(Listing the symptoms would be great too.)

There's no specific amount of time for the length of effects of it.  It can be long term effects or short term, for short term i would give about a day or 2 and then if you are lucky the effects will start to clear.

Some of the symptoms are:

cold clammy skin

flaccid muscles

fluid in the lungs

lowered blood pressure

"pinpoint" or dilated pupils

sleepiness

coma

slowed breathing

difficulty breathing

slow pulse rate

bluish colored fingernails and lips

spasms of the stomach and/or intestinal tract

nausea

vomiting

constipation

palpitations

drowsiness

coma

death
