How long can you keep Deer Meat in the freezer?

I have deer meat in the freezer for about 8 months ,it looks ok but I need some opinions ,any help will be appreciated,Thanks

  1. they say that meat is good as long as its in the freezer and dont take it out melt it then put it back in the freezer thats not good


  2. depends on your freezer and how often you open the door to the freezer. i still have some in my freezer left from last. i've thawed out and eaten venison beyond 12 months but try not to do so as to make room for the next hunting season. if the meat is gray, though, toss it out since it is freezer burned.  

  3. Why do you have deer meat in your freezer?

    Did you murder a deer?

  4. Generally 6 months.  Start cooking.

  5. It shouldn't matter...did you vacuum seal it first?  I say cook a small portion of it and if it tastes okay, go for the rest :-)

  6. until it gets starts to get ice on it, then you know it is time to cook it.
