How long can you keep an IUD in without changing it?

Its been a while and its not giving me any problems but sometimes I worry. Any one know for sure?

  2. IntraUterineDevice ---it varies, your OBGyn should know since now they have different ones.  They have ones that you can keep for several years and others that you can keep even longer.

  4. what is a IUD?? i dont know ??!!

  5. It's totally save for 5 years, the maximum is 10 years, according to my OB/Gyn.
