  1. For two week contact lenses: two weeks.

For contact solution: until it expires.

Contact solution in your contacts case should be changed out every day.  When you put your contacts in, dump out the solution and let the case air dry during the day.  Rinse out the case and use new solution when you put your contacts back in it.  Make sure to rub the contacts with solution before you put them in the case.  Don't ever use tap water.

  2. I have a contact with the same "experation date" But they are expensive and I wear them until I can't. Meaning around 3 to 3 1/2 weeks when I go to put them in my eye, they hurt and feel itchy and feel like theyre poking my eye at the edges. So really i wear mine for a week or two longer. also they can start to get really dry and filmly feeling and it take smuch longer to actually get them in the eye.

To make them last as long as possible it's a good idea to wash out the lense container out with warm water about every 3-5 days this keep bacteria from growing. Also its good to put some solution in the palm of your hand and rub the contact lightly so as not to rip it, but it gives it a good clean cuz little spot of gunk and bacteria can grow on the lense and then looking at stuff, you can sometime see little spots and it gets blurry.

Contact solution i think you can look at the experation date and you it till then, but I've been using mine for a year and it works fine. It's a really big bottle, but if you wear your contacts each day you will most likely use the bottle up before the experation date.

    Hope this helps you out!

  3. The most to wear them is for 3 weeks then throw it out.

  4. Here is modified version of an answer I posted a few weeks ago.

There are several different variables when it come to how long a contact lens can be worn.  Different lens brands/types have different wear schedules. Some lenses are intended for daily use, some bi weekly use, monthly use, etc... Also how well a person cleans their lenses can also impact how long the lens can be worn.

There is also the eye's tolerance for wearing contact lenses. I generally wear mine for 14-16 hours per day and have slept in them several times without any problems. There are some people who can wear them for months without removing them and others who can only wear them a few hours before irritating their eyes. My friend starting wearing contacts several years before I did and I can wear mine for a longer duration than he can.

I use extended wear lenses that are supposed to be good for 30 days, but I can usually get about 45-50 days of wear out of them. I clean my contacts very well almost every night and rarely handle them with my fingers. I use a tool to insert and remove them and noticed they have lasted so much since I started doing that.

Your eyes will tell you when to stop wearing your contacts, they will feel uncomfortable and may give you headaches when you wear them.  Most solution bottles they are good for 30 days.  I tend to go through lots of solution because I am a little obsessive about cleaning my lenses so the longest I have ever used a solution is about 60 days and did not have any problems.

I left a link to the question that was similar to this one.

  5. they'll work for a really long time, as in you'll be able to see clearly, and your eyes may not get irritated, but if you overwear your lenses, you're going to get lots of problems. The material in the lenses breaks down and then they can't breathe. when your eyes are deprived of oxygen, you may get an infection. if not, the  blood vessels in your eyes will start to grow over your iris, and you can eventually go blind. your eyes get swollen and stop producing new cells. you can increase your prescription and induce astigmatism.  it's just not a good idea. if you're strapped for cash, wear your glasses for a few weeks in between sets of contacts. you can usually stretch your 2-week lenses to 3 weeks, but any longer is not a good idea. with solution, don't use it past the expiration date printed on the bottle. it's usually good for a few years, so it shouldn't take you longer to use it than the length of time it's good.

  6. The question was how long you can actually wear them. If you absolutely have to you can wear them for nearly a year with a minimum of 6 months.

    I have done it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I wear  2 week- 6.50 prescription acuvue lenses and have worn the same contact for nearly a year before. I wanted to experiment to see  how long you could keep them in. As long as you keep them in solution you can wear them for months no problem. Just take good care of them and wear them till they hurt. An optometrist would not recommend this of course but I am 37 yrs old and am fine, been doing it for years. Some of them will break down faster than others. I got really lucky with that one that lasted nine months. I have no probs with my blood vessels or vision, never had an infection. Believe me your eyes will tell you when its time to change, optometrists don't want you to know this because they want your money. They have to make them so they last though so they don't get sued. It's all about money like everything else unfortunately. The people that get eye infections probably aren't using no rub solution. You should use no-rub but still rub and clean your lenses making them nearly new every night.

It's also a load of c**p that they make you get a new script every year. My prescription hasn't changed in 6 years yet I have to pay the 100 bucks for a new exam every year. What a scam, I can tell if I can't see or not. If your eyes hurt or something goes wrong you should go to the optometrist, but they MAKE YOU GO BECAUSE THEY WANT YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
