How long can you store uncooked rice? Does it ever go bad?

It shouldn't go bad as long as you have it stored in an air-tight container.

Just about forever, as long as it's well-sealed.  Use a tupperware or rubbermaid container, or a glass jar with a rubber gasket seal....

Well, I know that you can store wheat for twenty years if it's properly sealed in airtight containers, and kept at proper temperatures. I would imagine rice is probably the same. I don't know... I think wheat can go rancid, but I don't know if rice can. Probably can go stale tasting?
