  1. I take Claritin-D all spring for several months, and parts of fall.  Sometimes a good part of the summer, too.   My allergies are indoor, and get worse when the air is humid.   My physician said I could stay on it as long as I needed it.

I have not had any trouble, starting or stopping.

  2. First, read the instructions on the package, they usually say how long most people can take the medication before they need to see a doctor about the condition. Also, you can ask your doctor.

  3. Well, my doctor put me on it for a month and said i'd be fine. but, beware the withdrawals. i felt like i had been on street drugs. i shook at night and couldn't sleep for about a week and felt sick. a different doctor said it was from the claritin, but i would suggest nothing over 2 weeks.

  4. u can take it as llllllooooonnnnnnnnng as u want...if uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu don't mean dying in the enddd

  5. It is safe to take indefinitely, for as long as your health care provider recommends.  Be sure to ALWAYS  tell any doc or NP (Nurse  Practitioner) or PA (physician's assistant ) about ALL the medicines, herbs, vitamins, supplements, etc. (including herbal drinks and teas) that you are taking, as some medicines or herbs might interfere with other ones.

Buying the OTC (over the counter) generic form can make it less expensive for you.

i hope this helps! Please post again with further questions.
