How long can you wait after getting wisdom teeth removed before kissing someone?

as soon as you feel comfortable doing it. my mouth was sore for about 4 days, so i wasn't kissing anyone, but after that it was all good.

I got mine removed and when I got home like an hour later my bf kissed me. Not like a make out kiss, but you know like a I'm glad your home kiss. As long as it doesn't hurt it's fine and BTW it doesn't hurt as bad as they make it sound. :)

I'm a dental assistant of 2yrs and extract wisdom teeth everyday.  It's ok to give someone a light kiss on the lips right now.  But I don't recommend a lot of heavy open mouth kissing.  Opening and closing your mouth a lot could pull open the extraction site, causing bleeding.  Also, open kisses pass on germs faster.  since you have open areas in your mouth, those germs will travel through your blood stream faster and could cause an infection or make you sick.  If you are wanting to kiss someone, more than just a light one on the lips, wait about 7days.  The sites will be closed over, plus you won't be in such much pain.
