How long cant the"xbox360"be played till it over heats?

or what is recommended time per day to keep it from wearing out?id like to keep it for a while....was just wondering if there was a time limit before damage occurs.thanks!

well i had my 360 for about a year now and i play it a few hrs a day

and when gta4 came out i played it like 12 hrs and it never realy got hot and i do that every now and then so play as much as u want

Just check it every once in awhile... I'd say turn it off for a 15-30 minute break every 3 or 4 hours, and make sure the vents have room to breathe.  You'll be fine.

first you dont want to keep it in a entertainment center there is no air circulation.I usually keep playing time down to 2to3 hrs,also you can buy extra cooling fans for your 360 which is recomended for long playing times.

I would suggest not leaving it on for more than six hours at a time. any more than that can cause over-heating. there are several products however that you can attatch to the Xbox360 and it will never over-heat. (or so the companies that sell the products claim.
