  1. I'm practicing the sport of wrestling in high school

I had two shoulder surgery: one on each side

One on shoulder I had a 240 degree labral tear, and on the other I had a 140 degree labral tear and some rotator cuff injury.

It took me about an 8 months to fully recover and get back into fighting shape

My shoulders wore down after constant practice.

I've been training for 3 years.

Five days a week including summers

    for about 3-5 hours.

  2. Style doesn't apply as much as person heath and age.  Typically speaking a younger person will heal from an injury quicker than an older person with the same injury.  Muscle strain, sprain and tears typically take 2 to 10 weeks to heal.  Broken bones take a month to heal but are still weak and tender for the better part of the year.  A good bone bruise or scar will be tender can be sore for a year of more.  All of these numbers are averages and are dependent on the severity of the injury.

Supplements and specialized exercises, and general good health will usually quicken healing.

  3. I am currently nursing a sore elbow from a kimura I was put in 3 weeks ago.  I've only been able to lightly train a few times since :(

    I didn't tap fast enough....

    Anyways,

    8 years total martialarts

    3 years bjj

    2 years mma

I train 4 times a week, sometimes 5 if im feeling 'spunky'

Aside from the aforementioned injury, I have had several minor injuries that include:

    -bloody noses

    -general bruising

-sprained knee (about 4 months to heal)

    -sore ankle/tendons (from footlocks)

Currenlty I train BJJ/Kenp/and mma (classes are Muay Thai/boxing/wrestling mix).

I am by no means a pro.  I have done pankration mma fights.  There's a video of one of my fights here:

    Hope this helps
