  1. If you are saved, you will be able to ask him.

  2. You're comparing animals today, with what Noah actually took.  He took two KINDS of each.  2 cats.  All cats since then have come from those two cats.  2 horses.  2 of each KIND.  Not each species.

There's been some study that he could have taken as few as 2000 animals to only as many as 16,000.  He likely had as much as 1/4 of the ark free.

    Remember too, his family helped.

  3. Not to mention mucking out!

    What a lot of c**p!

  4. The question is how long did his family live on the revenue from selling all the accumulated fertilizer they shoveled out of the Ark?

  5. Wasn't it something like 44 years?

  6. About as long as it took him to swing by each continent to drop them back off after the flood

  7. First, Noah wasn't alone.  The arc had an elaborate feeding system, but it was painfully slow (hamster powered, gravity fed) .  Unfortunately, on day 22, he ran out of food and had to use dinosaur meat and byproducts.

  8. With the biblical timeline for their fictional Noah, he would never have completed even ONE round.   So his animals would have been just a tiny bit hungry by the time the "ark" came to rest on the island that Mt Ararat was.   And of course there was no food there.  Yes, it's quite a plausible story.

  9. Leveraging made it easier for Noah! And most animals have instinct to survive: they eat by themselves.

  10. The animals came to him.

There are millions of animals, but fewer "kinds." Noah had the kinds.

  11. 2 of each kind of animal

the resulting variations of species from those kinds were due to mutations following the new conditions on earth brought on by the flood, a reudction of oxygen and an increase in UV light

there are about some 4000 species of dog

but today scientist reckon that al these varieites would have come from 4 different types of dog

therefore, noah would have only have to have taken 4 pairs of dogs, and they were most probably puppies

4 dogs which would later breed 4000 different varities over the years, over different terrians

making a bit more sense now,

Above: koala bears did not exist at this point of time, they are a variety of bear which was a mutatation of bears that had survived the flood and wondered down to australia

the millions of varieites you see today are due to the high concentration of uv absorbtion,

again the proof would be linknig all bears, seeing which ones have common genese, and then seeing how many indivisible (non breeding) denominators you can find, e.g. like you would with the dogs

therefore again you would only end up with 6 or 8 bears, maybe even less

and again you would only need a male or female pair, and again you would take infant ones as opposed to adults

    so technically it's posible

Tomfin, species mutating and adapting over 4300 years to produce the variety you see today scares the **** out of you dosen't it?

i think it's slightly more scientific than bleiveing you came from a pool of slime 4 zillion years ago

that must be some impressive slime

even your prophet dr dawkins suggest all animals have a common ancestor

building on that the common ancestor of a cat is a cat

from this cat came all different types of cats

how do you think the poodle came about

did it evolve? no certianly not

it's been bred with all the useless characteristics a dog does not need

this happened naturally with allthe creaturews you see today, they have been bred after being zapped by UV rays for the first time to produce all the unique blends and varieties you witness today

try to look at experiments and variations brought out by UV rays,   you will be impressed to say the least

  12. Goddidit.

  13. never slept too since he had to feed nocturnal animals.

maybe he forgot to feed the dinos=extinction.

  14. It didn't take long he had the majority of the earths relatives help, the Baboons.

  15. no time at all b/c it did not happen.

  16. Creationists assert that ALL modern species came from a small amount of 'kinds' - a nonscientific designation without any clear definition - through evolution over the last 4300 years.

    (viz. Utopia and Hughes).

Me, I don't think so. It's self-serving nonsense and has nothing to do with the facts.

"ALL modern felines came from two cats".

    Does that include sabretooth tigers?

    "Koalas are a bear mutation"

Seriously. You don't even know koalas are marsupials and are no closer related to bears than kangaroos are?

    There are about:

    6000 species of Amphibians

    8000 species of Reptiles

    5400 species Mammals

    10,000 species of Birds

29,400 species of vertebrates KNOWN. Not taking into account species that have become extinct since the flood.

Even if we take the most careful, conservative approach, we are talking about AT LEAST 30,000 species. Not including invertebrates.

Now, of many of those, there were supposedly 2 specimens (absurd, of course - a single breeding pair is never enough to replenish a species), but of the clean animals, 7 each were brought aboard. And that includes a lot of the large ungulates such as deer, bovines and, oddly enough, the giraffe. Of elephants there were only two each, but unfortunately Indian and African elephants are quite separate genera.

Let's be kind and say we are talking about no more than 100,000 individual animals.

There were eight people aboard. 12,500 animals to take care of, each; let's say every animal was checked once every day (although some animals need much more care). That's about, oh, three-and-a-half second per animal? For feeding, tending and cleaning away their p**p.

The smell must have been impressive.

And what about floor space, and food consumption? A single elephant already takes up a lot of space. Or seven moose. Or a saltwater crocodile.

An elephant alone eats about a hundred pounds of food a day.

All things being equal, the logistics of this thing are a nightmare.

  17. The purple dinosaurs kept all in line.

  18. Oh I'm sure that somewhere in that ridiculous bible it somehow vaguely implies that God had a magic wand that magically filled and the animals with food. And cleaned the tonnes of shite every day.

  19. No one can answer that. Why waste your time?

I am still hung up on "let there be light".

You know- we still do not know what light is. We may can measure some of its characteristics, but its still a mystery.

  20. The Ark must of filled up with poo very quickly. They either had big shovels or they ignored the piles.

    Late addition.

The fleas, ticks, lice and mites must have had field day feeding frenzy aboard the Ark.

  21. I keep thinking of the dietary needs of certain animals. So, unless the poor little Koalas starved, he had to keep live eucalyptus trees aboard. And going all the way to Australia for them... Wow, what a mensch.
