  2. The Quran was revealed to the Prophet (SAW) through Angel Gabriel over a period of 22 years, 5 months, and 14 days.


  3. our prophet recieved the first revealations when he was 40, and he passed away when 63.  The last revealation/Qur'an wasn't completed too long before he passed away.  So it is roughly 23 years.
