How long did it take for you to get used to your contacts?

I just got new contacts on the 5th they are still bothering me, like blinking a lot because it feels like there is something in your eye (because there is) and some discomfort from wearing them several hours. Is this typical and I should get used to them soon or should I ask the doctor to change brands? They are air optix, by the way.

  1. Optix are kinda thick, the reason doctors give you these contacts because they are thicker and wont tear as easy. But if the contact bother you ask you doctor you will like to try Acv Oasys. These contacts are really nice.

You should have already got use to these contacts. Um give it intill the 15th if not then go back and ask the doc you would like to try another brand, something that is a little thinner. Just be careful if you are put into another brand because they might tear a little eaiser then the o2 optix.

  2. i would definately change brands because you shouldn't feel like that after even a few minutes to a couple of hours after you got them. they should feel like nothing is in your eyes except for occasionally getting dry.

  3. I would suggest you go talk to your doctor. I had that same problem too but i would wear acuvue and they really hurt my eyes even after i had had them for over 5 months. I told him my problem and he changed my contact brand, and the ones he gave me were way better.

So overall i would suggest you go see your doctor.

    hope i helped =]
