to really start losing the baby weight and getting back into your old clothes? Should I really push myself or should I just let it happen when it happens? I just had my 6 wk checkup and all is fine. I really would like to lose the belly!

  1. I lost the weight before I left the hospital but I wasn't in my REAL pre pregnancy jeans until a month after I had the baby...Oh I only gained 20 lbs ...

  2. I've heard from my mother and a few others that it's usually nine months, about the same amount of time that it took them to put on the weight, before they got it all off.  I'm sure with exersizing and a healthy diet you might be able to shorten it. Good Luck!

  3. I gained 68 lbs. with my son and let my body lose the weight on it's own; I lost about 30 of that by my 6 week post-partum check up; after that I started 'trying' to lose weight and lost the other 38 within a month! =]

I walked for an hour a day. I drank lots of water and ate lots of fruits and veggies. I ate white meat; chicken, fish and turkey. I gave up soda and sugary drinks and stuck with water.

I just put my son in his stroller and took him walking with me. I dropped the weight, fast!

I actually lost more weight than I gained. I lost 73 lbs. I weigh less now than I did before I became pregnant. I've always been thin, but now I'm even thinner .. My pre-pregnancy clothes are loser than they used to be; I dropped down to a size 3.

  4. A lot of it depends on your metabolism and age. You may also be exercising and may still not be losing the weight, you need SLEEP, without it you won't lose the weight, people forget that that plays a part in weight loss. Cardio...dance with your baby?

It takes a while. I gained 55, my son will be 4 months on monday and I've lost 40 not really trying. I'm 32 and I do a lot of up and down the stairs and stay up on my housework...beleive it or not, but that's a workout in itself...i'm also a working mom....

good luck, it can be frustrating at times..

  5. I'm not sure, I dropped all but 10 pounds within a week, and I the ten extra pounds are pretty well distributed on my body.  I'm "softer" than before, hehe, but happy with how I look.  Also, I'm breastfeeding and I think that helps a lot.  Good luck to you!

  6. I lost all my weight right after having my son. I didnt go straight back into the jeans i was wearing before i got pregnant. It took me about a month to get back to my regular size before i was pregnant. As long as you stay active, exercise and eat right, then you'll lose the weight in no time
