How long did it take the gap in your front teeth to close up with braces???

I'm getting braces on sept. 3rd and I have a gap. I was wondering how long do it take to close up and how long did it take your gap to close up??

I only want answers from people who had a gap and braces

mine didn't take very long at all. a month or two at the most.

Braces when applied for the first time hurts. It will take sometime to close up the gap. Braces though helps people in improving their teeth they are not at all comfortable, difficult to manage and even ugly. The best thing you can do is go for invisalign braces. My daughter had an open bite and so she had two teeth pulled while she was wearing braces. Getting the teeth pulled left two large gaps in the sides of her mouth but they were closed up within a month.

i didnt have a gap before braces

but during my braces i did  have one

it took like 6 weeks.

well i didnt have a gap....but it was wores..i had to have 2 teeth pulled to make room for my fanges to come down...and they had to pull my 2 front teeth forward...it tool bout 2 months at the most...and it did hurt...and hey i have to go get my wires tightened on sep.3 too...lol..have fun

Depending on your surrounding teeth and how large the gap is...it should take between 1 and 6 months. I would say the average time to see minimum results is 3 months.

Yay for you, you will love them so much, I had a large gap inbetween my top front teeth, this made me unhappy and selfconchous.

Mine had closed up within my first vist back! It was the best thing ever

also don't listen to people who say it hurts really bad as its not that bad except when you first get them on and you just eat soft food (tell your mum jelly and icecream!)
