  1. I used it on my daughter successfully at around 8 months and it worked with in a few nights. I had to use an abridged version for my son as he was finding the CIO method very hard at first.

Eventually your baby will be happy about going to bed and not cry about it. But you will have times where you need to go back and use CIO after a teething bout or an illness.....just a fact of life.

  2. Well I didn't use it til my 'baby' was 11 months, and it worked after a few days.

  3. It can take as long as a week. Just whatever you do, don't give up. Or it might never work! Make sure after you lay your baby down you don't open the door or pick your baby back up. Just make sure to stick with it. Good luck!

  4. i dont use it, my partner is trying to get me to, but as of yet, i still feel so bad at the sound of him crying. hes almost 5 months old. dont get me wrong, i dont pick him up at every whimper, but im just not strong enough to leave him! :(

  5. i dont want to discourage you but i personally think it is a cruel thing to do. you could try some other ways of getting baby to sleep like soothing music, a car ride or a swing.
