  1. awhile from leaving Catholicism from 1985 to present being a Deist.

  2. "I do hope my pet stalker answers!"

I used to like your answers, so i added you as a contact (as you are meant to do here on Y!A).

If you hadn't realized, if you add someone on Y!A, then whenever they star a question or ask a question, it comes up when you are on your own profile page.

I merely glanced at a few of them over time, and now I am a stalker?

It sounds to me like someone is a little hurt... aw, poor you! I didn't realize that you would take it to heart so much! How old are you? I should of taken it into consideration that you might be young...

Well, I have been in this life for a whole 17 years and 4 weeks. So, it has probably taken me that long to come to the belief that I have today. My beliefs have grown with time, and do have I.

I do not belong to any one solid religion, my beliefs are MINE and i wont ever have to do any constant thinking or sleepless nights to feel what is in my heart.

  3. I was essentially born this way (atheist) and never understood any of that Jesus stuff I learned in religion class, though the morals of the stories were nice.  However, I continued to view the world through a "god perspective" until I was almost out of high school just because that's what I had always been taught.  Once I was finally able to stop trying to fit everything into that god-shaped box, I felt very free and normal - like I wasn't fighting against reality anymore.

  4. It simply took an actual critical study.  It unraveled rather easily.

  5. I'm still questioning my beliefs.

  6. I am constantly changing and updating my beliefs.

About 8 years ago I became aware of a god's presence in my life, but though it did cause a spiritual awakening in me, it did not provide any answers or suggestions on how to live. That has left it up to me to learn on my own. (It was not the god of Abraham)

  7. I was an atheist that converted to heathenry (Asatru).

A lot, lot, lot of thinking and sleepless nights before I accepted I was heathen, actually becoming one kind of happened on its own.

  8. It's taken most of my life.  Even as a little kid I questioned the origin of the universe and such.  I've explored religions other than Christianity, especially while I was working on my philosophy minor.  I came back to the Episcopal church, which I was raised in, partly because I like the service and the peace it brings me and also because I came to the conclusion that we all worship the same entity.  We just give it different names and attributes that we as a culture can relate to.  I like the approach the Episcopal church has, but I still question, wander, and seek.

  9. Nobody will believe this, but I was 4 years old. I was moved from my regular bedroom to another whilst MY room was being decorated. During these few days, a series of things happened in my 'spiritual' life (which are WAAAY to complicated to post here). But the upshot was that I gained the 'belief structure' that I have to this day.

It was a pretty strange house with an interesting  history, mayhap THAT had something to do with things...

OK, I KNOW this sounds weird - but it's the truth.

BTW - who's your stalker? (TheBoggart starts getting worried that he's been seen with his night-vision goggles YET again...)

  10. It was a slow life long process.
