We moved in to our new house 1year ago and I am not even close to being finished my decorating. I am the type of person who wants things done yesterday. Can you relate?

  1. We bought our "move in ready" house almost 7 years ago, and I'm still finding things to make prettier! -it's just an on-going thing.  I tell my husband it's a "girl thing" (and I think he's looking for a 12 step program for me!!  lol)

  2. We bought a house that I've been working on for close to a year. Nothing HAD to be done~~it was fine the way it was, but not to me! I've been painting A LOT. I've finished painting our daughters rooms so far, the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Next is our bedroom, our bathroom, our kids bathroom, our hallway and laundry area........and that just one floor!! I'm working on the kids rooms all the time and changing ideas here and there and trying to make it "Perfect" since these will be their first bedrooms of their own~~no more sharing with their big/little sister! So I'm trying to personalize as much as I can without going over board. All I had done was the paint & one of their friends saw it and said "OMG~~this is AMAZING!". It's those moments that makes my frustration worth while!

I really wish the whole place was done, but deciding on paints & flooring without help from the hubby has been way nerve racking. He doesn't care as long as it gets done. The basement part of the house wont be finished until some time next year with the speed I'm moving at right now! Oh well...it should be amazing all over by then!

  3. Oh my gosh, I can so relate. We moved into our house last Oct. and I have only finished 2 room. I find I do better when I do a room at a time, that is what decorators say. I don't care how long it takes I want it to be beautiful. I'm just now starting on my third room. I have gotten many compliments so it has been worth it. I have found seller on ebay who sells name brands and it has helped me save a bunch of money but it does make for slow going. Hope this related to you. I'm glad I'm not the only one. That shows you are a great decorator. If you did it fast it wouldn't be so detailed. Good luck !
