My co-worker who has been trying to get pregnant for about 9 months now, still has no good news. I feel bad because I got pregnant unexpectedly. I wasn't even trying for I just had a baby.

Anyways, she was on DEPO for 9 years, Then on pills for a year and half.

She knows when she is ovulating but for some reason the sperm just don't meet the egg. Should she see a specialist since she is timing everything right and nothing is happening.

  1. I was on depo for about 3 years.  It took me 2 years after that to get pregnant with my daughter.  But everyone is different some women get pregnant right away some take longer as in my case.

  2. my friend went on vacation and forgot her pills for a week, so she decided to wait until her period as day #1 to start a new pack b/c she missed so much. anyway in those two weeks she got pregnant and now has a 9 month old boy. i have been told to get on the bc pill for a few months and start ttc after b/c you are most fertile coming off bc. so good luck to you.

  3. I was on the pill for 7 years and got pregnant 3 months after coming off. I also used Preseed, it's a lube that helps the sperm travel safely to the egg if you don't have enough cervical mucous to help the sperm along yourself.

  6. it's different for every woman...many women who are ttc have been at it for many many months even years....

She should see a specialist especially if she happens to be over 35...if not she can try another three months if she wants...then go.

  7. a year and half.
