  1. with my first I was 10lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight at 2 weeks.  I didn't diet or exercise, I just breastfed. I was 19 at the time.  This time around, I am 29 and I had lost a total of 35 lbs at 5 weeks, which was 14 lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight.  Again, no dieting or exercise (I had a c-section so I am still not allowed to do much.)

The problem I have had has been more getting my belly flat again than losing weight.  That took a lot of crunches and a couple of years the first time - this time the doctor says I may need plastic surgery because my baby was so big, and my belly got huge from that, plus the c-section.

  2. im 18.

I plan on not drinking the soda that i crave now while im pregnant.

and get back to my morning run.

I cant wait till im not as tired.

so i can actually walk and stuff. Its so hot this month i can barely go outside.

But yeah i just plan to watch my food-stop drinking soda like before-and run in the morning...like i use to..

but who knows maybe ill like a few extra curves :)

  3. I had my son when I was 26 and I breastfed (until he was 9 months).  Within 1.5 months I was back into my old clothes and within 3 months a bikini.  HOWEVER, I did not gain much weight when I was pregnant. (20 lbs total) AND my baby was a month early... so, I did not have that last month growth spurt.  Many people think I was lucky but, really I would rather have a baby that is healthy and strong and me be a few sizes bigger, than a preemie with health problems and me still be a size 6.

Afterall, having a baby is the most unselfish thing you can do, and a HUGE sacrifice... especially a sacrifice of your body.  BUT IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT!

As for my diet while being pregnant.  I craved peppers with dip and watermelon... but, not together!  EWW !  I tried to eat as healthy as possible and snacked as much as I could through out the day.  I tried not to snack at night.  After I had my baby, I ate whatever didn't make him gassy! lol

Every person is different, every pregnancy is different.  As long as you eat as healthy as possible getting all the nutrients you and baby need and take care of yourself -that is all you can really do!

    Hope that helps!

  4. i am 34 nd it took 5 day and i was 12 pounds    lighter i was 123 now am 110 or so and have keep it off for 14 months

  5. I have lost most of my weight except 6-7lbs 7 months after baby's birth.I was exclusively breast feeding for 5 months and just started solids a while ago. I am 31. I have not been excercising after childbirth at all. I dont have the time or energy. But I do take walks with the baby maybe 1 hour each day. During pregnancy I used to walk an hour or 2 every day as well.

  6. I was 19 when I had my son.  I breastfed, pushed him around the neighborhood in a stroller, washed/hung out/folded diapers, worked, went to college:  it seems like the weight came off in no time at all!

  7. I had my first @ 24. During my pregnancy I ate like I had before I was pregnant, semi-healthy but nothing special. By the 7th month I was not able to eat as much 'cause my belly was so big! However I would pick throughout the day. I did cut down on sugars during my pregnancy, though not completely. I gained 25 pounds during pregnancy. My boy (now 8 months) was born a very healthy 9.3lbs. I still breastfeed exclusively. I was a size 18 prior to being pregnant. I gained baby during pregnancy but lost body fat. I am now a size 8. I have lost 40+ pounds. I lost the first 30 within 4 months. I exercise very little, although now I run around after my 8 month old and the 14 month old I babysit. I never regained a big appetite again and I still pick at food throughout the day. Walking is great exercise to do with your baby, either in a stroller or a sling. I HIGHLY recommend a baby sling, from www.babyslingpro.com. It is the one baby item I will never go without ever again!!!

  8. still waiting at 41, lol.

look, there's no magic bullet, no secret, no mystic rite - just eat a normal, sensible diet and keep active and give it time.

  9. With my first pregnancy I was 20 years old. I ate healthy but didn't change much. I did cut out caffeine and tried to eat fewer sweets. As far as after the baby was born I ate about the same although I was always craving water. I drank a lot. I breastfed my son for 13 months, and did loose a few pounds however for the most part I lost all of my pregnancy weight as soon as I had him. I weighed 158 (I am 5'9" ) when I got pregnant with him and I weighed 180 the night I went into labor. When I came home from the hospital 3 days latter I was once again down to my original 158. Exercising is a major weakness of mine. Most of my exercise during and after pregnancy involved helping my hubby on our farm. It is a lot of work but not anything you can accomplish in the gym.

  10. I didn't diet with any of my post-baby weight loss. All I did was eat a very nutritious/healthy diet for breastfeeding (similar to pregnancy diet) and walked. I was into my regular jeans within 2 weeks postpartum after babies 1 & 2. I had my 4th baby at 26 and ALL pregnancy weight came off with all 4 babies within 2-3 months. You can figure you'll keep a few lbs because of added weight from milk, etc.. but really, my stomach flattened right out with no effort.

I do have a high metabolism and I am fairly active. I have never eaten poorly. I don't drink soda, I avoid sugar & anything artificial & bad fats - particularly hydrogenated. I eat good fats, whole grains, lots of fruits and veggies and lean protein. I don't eat red meat at all. I am sure that my regular habits played some factor in not gaining too much, having bigger babies and breastfeeding each for 12 mos + was a help.

I wasn't too concerned about MY weight as much as I was about MY CHILDS. I wanted every baby to be big and healthy and I ate and took care of myself accordingly - but their needs came 1st. I'm sure I would have had a different outcome if I had eaten junk my whole life and continued to during pregnancy and afterward. I know girls who eat lots of fast food, soda, sugary stuff and gain 50-80 lbs, have a 6 lb baby and then don't breastfeed at all - my sister in law did this. She is still 100 lbs overweight easily. I am 37 and I weigh 118 lbs (5'5"), I am in great shape and I have 4 healthy kids!

Hope I could help! Good Luck - breastfeeding is the best gift you can give your baby and yourself. It protects baby and also gives you protection from major forms of cancer!

  11. two years- i was 22 when i had my first baby. i lost all but 10 very easily, but the last 10 stuck until i started doing the South Beach Diet and exercising- weight lifting 2-3 times a week and rollerblading for 3 miles 3-4 times a week. i plan to re-do south beach as soon as i finish breastfeeding (can't do phase 1 while breastfeeding, and i need it to break my cravings) and start exercising sooner as well. baby is almost my second baby is almost 3 weeks, so i am easing into that.

  12. I gave birth a couple months before turning 20. I breastfed exclusively and was back to my pre-pregnancy weight by about 3 months-ish maybe a little before..

When I was pregnant I had horrible nausea and vomiting and so I ate really weird for the first 16 weeks then it was eating whatever I felt like... I had an aversion to sweets while I was pregnant so most of the foods I ate were salty.. I ate fruit and vegetables alot of chicken.. It really depended on what I felt like.

After I gave birth I've been eating whatever I want still.. Except that my sweet tooth is definitely back...  =(
