  1. 3-5 days as the top contributor said.  And I'm 47 years old.   The key for me was figuring out how to ride flat down the hill, not on an edge.   After that, it was a LOT easier to ride on intermediate slopes than beginner because gravity actually makes it easier to transition between turns.

  2. 1.2 seconds

  3. about 5 or 6 hours to be comfortable going down hills and a little more to bomb them

  4. I've been snowboarding for three or four years (I go 3 days a year) and up until now I fell more than you can amagine.  This year it just sort of clicked and I barely fall anymore.  It just takes time for you to figure it out.  What also helped was I got a private lesson.  They are WAY better because you get help one on one instead of just a general lesson.

  5. For me and for most other people, it takes about 3 to 5 days of riding to get good enough to start riding intermediate runs and linking turns. Be persistant - you will get there and really start to enjoy riding once you get the basics down.

    Good Luck
