How long did it take you to land your axel?

I mean just for curiousities sake. How many practices, weeks, month or even years (dang that would suck)?

i have been skating for about a yr n i just strted my axel, it took most of my friends a couple of weeks to land it, a couple of months to land it consistently.

When i  was 8 i  landed my axel, we started working on it when i was 7, so in took me about 1 year.  When i was 11 i was landing my 2 axel , now I'm 12 and a half and  am  landing my 3 loup, toe, and starting  3 flip. It's different for everyone :)

I practice about 5 times a weak,  but i also do ballet, and drama .

I skate Both free skate( Novice level) and Pre novice pairs,

it took my about a year and a half it sucked all my friends that i use to practice axels with got it. I just could not get it. I had a consistant 2S and 2L and i use to do Waltz jump double loops. But now i have a solid axel, i guess thats the good thing, once i had it i never fell on it again

i use to skate 2 or 3 times a week

probrally just a year but I'm working on my double axel right now! I practice 2hour per day and 6 days a week! and usually alot of months no it doesn't suck u just have to practice alot to get better!

The axel took me FOREVER! I'd say, about a few months!

I'm still working on it constantly...I can land it good, but I always get VERY scared when I have to do it...and I'm trying to overcome that phobia.

The first time I was ever able to land it was about 6 months after I began working on it. It took me two years of skating to get it totally consistent (I have a big axel, so I always over-rotated)

First time I landed it in competition was probably 2 months after I had first landed the axel. I didn't land it again in competition until I was about to move up to Pre-Juv.
