  1. Like 10 min, until I got used to it. I never learned how to stop though, luckily the walls are high so you can run into them to stop easily.

  2. Hiii

The first time i went ice skating was probally a year ago and i can skate quite confidently now. If you can roller-blade that helps alot because you will already have your balence. I have had lessons and can do spins and crossovers. Everyone if different when learning something new because you take your own time to learn it.

  3. about 1 week

  4. idk

  5. I'm form Minenesota and we learn how to skate when we are really young.  I think it took about a day.

  6. well i can't skate all that well, but it took me like a week or two to get the feel for it, and not hold onto the edge of the rink.

  7. about 30 min i could go up and down the rink really fast ..on my first try just like rollerblading!

  8. few days

  9. When I first got on the icce, just a couple of minutes.

  10. like a day

  11. I don't know how.

  12. a few hours?

im not like a pro or anything tho...

i can just skate around at a reasonable pace.

  13. Well, I think about 4 to 5 days. It was fun and I fell down a lot but I  didn't quit and I actually started loving ice-skating ever since then and I learned all the tricks on the ice and everything and I have been an ice-skater for 5 years and when to State Championship and got 1st place and in Nationals won 3rd place.

  14. im guessing, about 6 months in getting to know the ice, 2 years of spinning and small tricks such as single toe-loops jumps and camel spins, and depending on how old you are double and triple jumps take about 3 years as a child, and about 5 years as a teenager, it takes time, but its worth the wait, but i never did figure skating, but id love to learn though!!!

  15. not long....i just had to get 'adjusted' to the ice and then after that i was fine....but before i have rollerbladed quiet a bit so they are similiar

  16. It kind of depends on what you're asking.  I skated for the first time when I was 3.  I think I picked it up after a few laps around the pond.  I didn't do too bad then, but I didn't start lessons til I was 12.  After about a year and a half, I had my single jumps and did a few competitions.....and I'm still doing it many years later.  :)

  17. i just went on one day and knew how

  18. only a day or two.

  19. I actually knew how to do it from the moment I put them on. It was freaky. It was the first day for 5 of us and I was the only one who never fell. I also learned how to go really fast, brake and make pretty good turns on the first day. I love Ice skating! :-) After that I took up hockey and love that too. But skating by itself is probably my favorate thing in the world.

  20. well, i started ice skating when i was twenty and now at the age of twenty one , i am a world champion

  21. one whole day of hard work and just doing it the nest day

  22. A few hours, plus a few extra days for reinforcement.

  23. i was a quick learner it didnt take long at all.

  24. i didnt really learn coz wen the first time i stepped on ice i jst thought of my rollerblades and skated.. i didnt even fall down once ^^

so good practice is start off with rollerblades..

    or

it depends on the person.. a quick "brave" learner could probably get the hang of it in an hour whereas someone hu is scared of falling may never learn ...

  25. To learn actual stroking - one session

To just be able to move on the ice -2 days

  26. i dont remember

    suppose it just came naturally

if you inline roller skate before its no different really to begin with

although some people can do it easily, i know a lot of people who cant do it at all no matter how hard they try :S

  27. A couple of hours. It was hard when I first got on the ice, but then I got used to it and it became very easy. I looove it!

And don't worry if you take long to learn, everyone has their own pace.

  28. i went for my birthday  i learned in like 2 hours. i kept goin back for the straight next 2 days and i learned a bunch of tricks its not as hard as it seems.

  29. about 15 minutes but i had been roller skating for years.

  30. I first started on the small pond in my backyard at the age of 10. I eventually went to a rink a few times during the winter. I am now at the age of 12 and I am starting private lessons tomorrow and Basic Lessons May 17. My skills are as high as Basic 6, but I don't know how to spin and do some stops and things like that. Which is the reason I am taking lessons. I can do crossovers, a small half jump. It all depends on how hard you try.
