How long did it take you to learn how to swim?

I was a baby and it took about a week. I did a mommy and me class.

By about 3 I was able to swim underwater easily.  At four I was on the summer team competing.   Never really had any classes before summer swim.  

Been swimming competetively for over 15 years and loving it!

i learned to swim like doggie paddle when i was like six months old because i had a pool and i lived in dallas so i could swim a lot i could swim good (lessons passed) when i was like 8 or 9

I was about 3 when I learned. I passed level 12 at 9 years old. I was the youngest in my class.

well you can do the dead man's float if your a weak swimmer basically you relax all the muscles in your body and float on your back so that your head is poked out of the water :P that's one of the basic things

I was pretty young I'd say around age 8 or something. I hated it because you had to use your legs and arms and I was pretty weak lol.
