Question:

How long did take you to get used to progressive bifocals?

I got them today, and at first it was a little weird, but I am getting a lot better already. I should be a natural by tomorrow. lol

  1. wow you are young to have bifocals.

    I've had them since I was 36 and it takes a day or so to really get used to them. ONe thing I learned over the years... make absolutely sure you get a good fit for your glasses. They shouldn't press against your head or ears at all. They should glide on and off with just a gentle pull.

    Because I have various ailments, I get dizzy very easily, and bifocals only contribute to that... if my glasses don't fit right, I get a headache on top of everything else.

    Also - if you are on the computer alot, get them coated with the appropriate finish so you have the least eyestrain.

  2. poor boy - already into bifocals!

    My last set of glasses had them, due to all the handsewing I was doing.  I got them on this set at first, and they apparently were done wrong, cause I got headaches all the time.

    It took me a couple of days to get used to looking through the right part of the lense instead of the whole lense.  But after that, it was automatic.

    I knew I needed new glasses when I kept tilting my head back to look through the magnified part.
