How long did you wait between getting engaged until your wedding day? Did it go quick?

I am getting married on 11/02/2008 in Florida, we are not having any guests, but have chosen that date as it will give us time to save and have a dream holiday at the same time. We live in the UK... However it feels like an awful long way away, there is not much to do other than to save. I don't even need to worry about my outfit as it is already in hand. I want to try and forget about it all for a while but I am struggling as I am so excited.

My fiance proposed about a year ago, and we're going to get married in about a year.  The first year went by slowly, but now things are starting to speed up.

trust me it will go by super fast. i got engaged in octboer then married in july, so i was engaged for 9 months and it flew by

Engaged 5/19/08 Wedding 6/27/09.  So a little over a year of planning.  Its going by both very fast and very slow at times!

I was engaged for a year and a half. I was so busy with finishing school and planning the wedding that it seemed to go by pretty fast. Sometimes it felt like forever though, especially the closer the wedding got, I just wanted it to be over with already! But on the day of the wedding, while I was freaking out before the ceremony (LOL), I was thinking, "omg, I can't believe this is happening already! We just got engaged! Oh no!". Haha =) Congrats~!

My fiance proposed to me on my bday in april. We're not getting married until october of 2009.

Don't worry, November will come up quicker than you think.

We got engaged Decemeber 29th, 2007 and won't be married until June 19th 2010. I know we need time to save, but at the same time I'm so excited for it that I want it to come sooner. But yours is only 3 months away, and that time will probably fly by!

We were engaged about eight months, just long enough to plan the wedding - and wow, it went fast! But that was planning a very traditional wedding for 200 guests.

My husband proposed on 12/24/06 and we got married on 5/24/08 so it was 17 months exactly.  The first year or so went by pretty slowly, but the last few months before the wedding flew by!
