How long did your baby use it's crib? How big was he/she by then?

Both of my boys figured out how to climbed out of their cribs by 10 months old so I couldn't use them at all after that.

my duaghter is still in her crib and she is 2 and 1/2! granted its a convertable crib to a toddler bed! and she is 26 pds! how big is your baby?

Do NOT let your baby sleep with you!!! It is a huge mistake.  It will get used to sleeping you and it will be very hard to get the baby to sleep by itself.  

Next, the crib, you may be able to get away without a crib if you have a basinette, and a playpen (which you could use as a temporary crib), otherwise, you need the crib.  By 2, the kid will be in a toddler bed!!

My son slept with us since the day he was born. When he was about 6 months old, I really cracked down hard on him sleeping in his crib, he would cry for HOURS until he finally fell asleep. After about a week of this, he was fine. Well, my husband sabatoged it, and because of that my son wouldn't sleep in his crib at all after that. So he is 1.5 years old and still sleeps with us, and I think it's great, we are a very close knit family.
