Had all natural hair and went 2 a salon 4 a texturizer so I could have more versatility. Had my hair flat ironed and thought everything was good until a week later when I washed my hair. Saw that my back, front and sides are stick straight while the rest is coarse. Don't want to fight the differences so I'm wanting to get it all straight. How long should I wait until I get the remaining hair straightened?

  1. 6-8 weeks. I usually wait untill the 8th or 7th week. If you MUST do it sooner, make sure you put in a conditioner after the perm, and also do not make it in to a habit of doing your hair ever 4 weeks it will break off.

  2. I could be wrong, but I doubt that I am. You should be able to go back to the salon and have the coarse hair relaxed in little as 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the coarseness. I had a similar problem before.
