How long do I have to have a piercings to where I can take it out & it not close up?

I have my lip pierced(snakebites soon) and I want my Septum and Medusa done later & Somtimes I want to just wear my septum & Medusa so I'd remove my lip rings but I dont want them to close I had my lip rings for 4 months =]

at least a year if not more to take them out and keep them out.  I have had my belly button done for a year and i still can't keep it out for super long.

ive had my lip done for a year and i still can't keep it out for more then a few hours. i suggest maybe getting a retainer to make sure they don't close.

6 weeks after peircing and then your can change the rings but have to have it on for a year. so 6 weeks and a year.

well i only have my tongue and belly button and its differet for different places so im not exactly sure... but im pretty sure theyre are retainers like clear ones or something that you just put in when you dont want to wear it. thats what i have with my tongue. but ask them when you go to get it.

i think they say a month but i wouldnt change it or leave it out for long
