where i live, you have to have your permit for a year and have had 40 hours of day driving and 10 hours of night driving to get your license

6 MONTHS. WELL IN MISSISSIPPI WE HAVE TO WAIT SIX MONTHS TO GET OUR INTERMEDIATE LICENSE AND 6 MONTHS AFTER THAT TO GET OUR REGULAR LICENSE. AND IF YOU ARE 17 YOU CAN TAKE YOUR PERMIT TEST AND DRIVING TEST ON THE SAME DAY, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE RULES ARE WHERE YOU LIVE AT.
