I alredy have my dress (bought it 2 years ago), I want to hire a planner and where we live it's pretty easy to do (in the Virgin Islands: America's paradise!). Is 4 months enough to plan a wedding? Do I need to buy another dress because it was bought 2 years ago? (it still fit and it looks nice. I bought at David's Bridal)

  1. well if u just got engaged 2 ounths or whenever u want but if ur not engaged wait a year or 2 to c if your partner is right for u

  2. Four months is fine for the planning part.  If you are choosing a venue that is popular though, you may need to reserve much farther in advance.  Some places fill up over a year in advance.  Also, many wedding professionals are booked far in advance.  If you know of any professional you want to use for your wedding, you should check with them in advance to see when they will be available.

  3. You can plan a wedding in as little or as much time as you want.  It all depends on what you want and what is available.  4 months is definitely enough time in that case.  I was talking to someone yesterday and her daughter just got engaged and is getting married in 3 weeks!  I am planning a pretty elaborate affair without a planner so told my fiance I needed a year (although it's been 4 months and I basically have everything done).  I was freaking out though because all the places we wanted on particular dates were booked like 16 months in advance.  Crazy!!

    If you still like the dress and it fits, there is no need to buy a new one unless you've totally changed your mind on what you want to wear.

  4. You will need to speak with your wedding planner about how long they will need to help you plan the wedding. It will take me the full 12 months to get my wedding planned.

  5. usually with wedding planners they can help you for however long u need them!

    goodluck=D

  6. Generally a year but you can throw one together in 4 months if you are very organized and already have a clear idea of what you want - and since you've already got a wonderful dress, I have a feeling you have ideas for the wedding and reception in your mind already.
