Question:

How long do I wait after an interview before moving on?

I interviewed for a position with a very well known advertising agency in Chicago about a month ago. The interview went GREAT! I followed up with the recruiter from the agency a few days later and she said that the hiring managers liked me a lot, but were still planning to meet with other candidates. Each week since then I've been following up with the recruiter to see if a decision has been made and she continues to tell me that she has no news. I emailed the hiring manager twice, and have heard nothing from him either. I'm assuming I should just give up and move on. Clearly, they don't want me, right?

  1. I own a business.  They probably do not have a position for anyone (you included) today.  They are planning for the future.  You did well at the interview but you didn't get hired.  If there was an actual job you would have heard in 2-3 days and you would have received a thank you before that.

Keep going.  It is so frustrating because you know what you can do. /

  2. You wait til your out the door then you start over. It doesn't matter how well you did in the interview, a lot of things have to happen between then and you getting hired and a miriad of problems can arise that prevent it.

You don't owe any loyalty to the company you interviewed with so keep looking. They are, so shouldn't you? I've been in your same boat and it sucks....if you got the job or are the leading candidate they would be more proactive about contacting you.

  3. Why you wating for the past. Go ahead for further...
