  1. The answer to your question depends on it's context.  Do you mean what is the life span of these storms or how long do they last at a particular location?

    A hurricane can last for weeks over it's lifetime, but usually only takes about 12 hours to pass over a fixed location.

    A tornado can last several hours in it's lifetime, but only take a few minutes to pass over a fixed location.

    Also hurricanes will do a lot more wide spread damage and cost much more money to recover from than a tornado, but tornadoes to worse damage in small areas than do hurricanes.

    ive been through a lot of hurricanes and they last days

    and tornados will just last minutes :)
