I'm getting braces Monday so I'm just wondering how long they will hurt

took me about 3 or 4 days. stick to soft foods, I had a diet of Ice Cream for a week :P

Some people take it differently because some people have a higher tolerance of pain. Due to sports I have a high tolerance of pain so it only took me a few hours to get over the pain but most people it takes about 3-5 days. After that you won't even be able to tell that they are there. The only time they will hurt is when you get them tightened but that only lasts a day or so. You're going to be fine.

it really depends with different people. braces dont hurt, you just feel pain on your teeth and gums. it hurt me for about 5 days but each day the pain keeps on wearing down. and also when they tighten them it only hurt me for about 2 days. they really arent horrible.
