  1. you have contractions for every labor. Your body needs to have contractions to push the baby out. But, the labor usually goes a lot faster after the first time.

  2. Contractions are a tightening of the abdomen to help the baby make his way out. They last as long as the delivery lasts. Once you have given birth and expelled the placenta, they should stop.

Some women can feel them for days before delivering, others barely feel them a couple of hours before.

From one pregnancy to an other, they cease. They are only there for the labor....

  3. Every time you give birth, you go through labor.  Usually second (and subsequent) labors are shorter than first labors, but there will still be contractions, and you have to push the baby out.

  4. I don't really understand your question.

Every time you give birth you have contractions. When you have the baby, the contractions stop.

If you give birth to another child later on... It is the same thing.
