How long do exchange students stay for and how much does it cost?

I live in the concord NH area and I would like to be an exchange student in Christchurch new Zealand where my grandmother grew up. How much would this cost me if I stayed for a semester? Could you give me a website that would help?

Also, would my guidance counselor at my school be able to help me out?

google exchange student you can also go for just the summer as i know u cant stay for a semsester
