Both can last indefinitely if properly done.  Crowns, in particular, are extremely durable; I have had one for forty years.

tooth colored fillings lasts for 5 years (the ideal is to change it every 5 years) but if you have no problem with your old filling, then,, no need to change to a new one

crowns could last for a long time (years) if you have a good oral hygiene.. u know.. brushing your teeth every after meal and floss your teeth at least once a day plus, have a regular check up with your dentist
