How long do fish take to get along?

I just added 4 new small goldfish to my 10 gallon tank, them and my other larger goldfish seem to be swimming together but every time the large one ones near the little ones swim away like crazy

Also the little goldfish keep rubbing their mouths against the glass

Some fish will never get along depends on their breed. I'm sure you've heard this many times before but fish rule "if it fits in my mouth I eat it" so this might be why the smaller ones swim away from the larger one. but if they are both the same breed then they might just be getting use to living with the larger fish. As for the rubbing their mouths against the glass they might be eating the algae off the glass. I hope this helps!
