How long do freshly made dill pickles need to stand before eating

I canned dill pickles and one recipe says to let stand one week and the other says eight.Any tips.?

My grandpa cans pickles and he lets his sit for three months.

I would suggest at least 2-3 months for maximum flavor,  dill pickles are amazing!

We don't eat them for at least 3 months to be good,you can usually tell by the color,just compare them to pickles you buy in the grocery store
