Question:

How long do glued in extensions last?

I'm getting them for the first time soon, how long do they last?

I've been told that they were really bad for your hair, and that the clip in ones are much better, is that true?

I don't want to go through the pain of putting them in every morning.

Someone with experience please answer?

  1. If you have a really good hairdresser who knows what she's doing then they're no worse for you're hair than dying it.

Mine last about 3 months, less if I do a lot of swimming, but I think 2-3 months is average. Yes they're a lot easier than clip-in's for every day, but if you only want them say a few occasions a week eg when you go out in the evenings, clip ins are better because it does take a long time to have a full head of extensions glued in.

Yodon'tnt say what type of extension they are, a brush on glue like liquid gold (that I use) is better for your hair than the hot glues (they use what it pretty much the glue gun you use in crafts at school) which can be really bad for your hair.

If its the first time, try getting wefts glued in with a glue like liquid gold, it'relativelyly quick and not bad for your hair and gives you chance to see if you like it before you go for something more timconsumingng and expensive like strand by strand extensions.

  2. I've had great lengths extensions on and off for the past 3 years. They have a kreatin mix glue bond that contracts and expands like normal hair, and honestly they don't damage your hair at all if you have a great hairdresser it's fine. Clip in extensions are okay to wear once or twice on special occasions...but extremly tacky for everyday use.....like serioulsy they get so ratty even if they are human hair, and such a pain to put in everyday....

Great Lengths extensions and Amore Hair are the two top brands of glue bonded individual extensions....so ask your hairdresser if either of those are the brands she uses. :)

Hope this helps and Trust me 100% they don't!!! damage your hair!

    :)

  3. Glued extensions are really bad for you hair!!

Try the clip-ons they are really easy to put on and off whenever you want,

i get mine from Sally's they're a good quality and price

Do not get sewed extensions either.

    clip ons are the best!

  4. it depend on how u keep it it stay about 2 - 6 weeks

  5. My sister has those and even buys the glue for it she has me or my other sister put hem on for her with the glue and the side of a hot

curling iron and can take them off or put them on when ever she wants its actully pretty easy it cost a lot but should be worth it since it  lasts along time depending were you buy them and how well u take care of it you can even wash them and style them as if it were ur own natural hair but with all the glue and heat added even if u wash it off your head I'm pretty sure it can do lost of damage to your natural hair and your scalp.
