How long do grades in college stay active?

I did bad in college when I was 18, now I'm 29 and I been working so hard to go to nursing school. I'm scare of some of my transcripts. Are those years going to haunt me forever?

The grades stay forever, but after 5 years, most science type schools (like nursing etc) want the core classes repeated since science changes soooo much.  That actually works to your favor--its gives you a second chance to improve your grades & that is what admissions will focus on.  Then in the interview or in the essay part you can elaborate on how in 11 years you have matured, improved etc.  Good luck

  3. Yes, unfortunately, they don't ever go away.  There really isn't any way to get rid of them.

    But I'm sure the nursing school you want to attend will understand that you were 18 and you've probably matured over the past 11 years.
