How long do i cook Chicken?

im goin to cook chicken in a pan ....chicken fillets by the wayy....im goin to slice them ..how long do i cook them for?

  1. you can never really put a time on chicken because it is so dangerous if it's not cooked right, and it depends how you like your chicken, you might have to cut one up to see if it is white right through, if they are thick chicken fillets, they may take a while. when it is white and there is no more pink raw chicken is when it is cooked.


  2. Cook them on the first side for 5 minutes on medium heat. With a little oil to brown them up. Then flip em and cook on the 2nd side for 3 mins.

    This is dependent on how thick they are. If they are sliced in 1/4 inch slices then use 4 mins and 3 mins on each side on medium heat.

    This will yield moist chicken..

    if you dont pre slice them, then cook  breast 9 mins on side one. and about 5-8 on side two.. Watch for juices to come out the top as its cooking. And once those juices run clear(not cloudy) then its done.

  3. Since you're going to slice them anyway you'll just need to cut into them as they cook and make sure there is no pink left in the meat.  Probably no longer than 10 minutes though.

    It's difficult to give a set time since your stove, cooking temp and even pan will factor in.  

  4. One to two minutes per side depending on their thickness.  The juices should run clear (not bloody).

  5. when you cook chicken in a pan the meat will turn white on the outside when it gets heated that does not mean its done. Try putting a fork in it and pulling in open to see if it is white on the inside if is then its done. If one is done they  should all be done

  6. First some olive oil heat in high sizzle for 5-7 minutes to let the juices seal  (don't let it smoke - bad for health) and stay in ;

    and then low heat for 15- 20 minutes. cut a sample and make sure they are white inside.  internal cooking temp is hard to check

    Add salt, pepper to taste a little at a time until you know how much.

  8. 180 degrees for 1 hour and 30 mins it should be done by then
