How long do i have to stay in texas, to not pay out of state tuition at a college?

i know that community college fall semester in texas will start on 8/25....i need to move to TX now, and i';m currently living in California...i want to know how long do i have to live in TX so that i dont have to pay out of state tuition.

  1. Many states (with few exceptions) require at least one-year of residency (not just your presence, but actual identification [e.g., transfer of driver's license]) before in-state tuition rates kick in.

    Some programs within schools have out-of-state tuition waivers, but often have early deadlines for application.

    You should be able to call the admissions office to your school of choice directly to find out.
