How long do i have to wait before i can pause something on my plasma TV and it doesn't burn into the screen

  1. yat least 8 months to a year to be safe but you can still suffer burn ins after if you leave it paused for a while but its less sensative after the initial yr of use


  2. Definitely depends on the TV model.  Unlike LCD TVs, plasma and tube TVs are susceptible to burn-in if the image does not change. Some newer plasma TVs have a protection built in where they will slightly shift the position of the image automatically to keep it from being burned in.  It is likely imperceptible to you as the viewer.  Check your manual to see if your TV has this feature.  Other than that, pausing a picture for a few minutes will not harm it.

  3. Depends on what TV you have. A model would be helpful.

  4. I'm not sure, but most DVD players have a time-out facility, where it goes to screensaver. This is when you see the brand name floating about on the black background.
