How long do i have to wait before i get euros before i leave for a trip over seas?

i am leaveing for a trip to italy in like three months how long should i have to wait before getting some pocket money

  1. If you travel out of a major airport and you arrive early enough, you can get some money exchanged there.


  2. The very best way is to wait til you get there.  The exchange rate you will get from the money changers in the airport is terrible.  Use your ATM card ...the machines always give the best exchange rate.  Call your bank and check to be sure it is ok to use your ATM card in Italy.

  3. Get the euros when you get there.. I just got back from Europe and our $$ stinks compaired to theirs. If you choose to get them in the states makesure the exchange rate is favorable for our money and expect to pay commision for changing the money over.

  4. About a week before you leave for Europe, have your money exchanged.
