How long do i have to wait for a new phone to charge?

Just got a new phone and it doesnt tell me how long I have to wait for it to charge. Its usually 12 hours right? But can i take it off any earlier? im thinking about leaving it to charge for about 4 or 5 hours. Is that enough?

Atleast 10 hrs charge is a must, for your new mobile 'battery' or else you will loose its life very early.

if its a cell phone its two hours or till it indicates fully charged.

It varies based on the capacity of the battery and charge rate. You should have enough of a charge in an hour to check out everything to make sure it is working correctly and several hours of use time. Most rechargeable devices I am familiar with recommend overnight for the initial charge and then 4-6 hours once in a while, every day or maybe two, thereafter. A number of chargers I've seen recently have a 2 color indicator, one color when charging and the other color when fully charged.

cell phones you charge for around 2-3 hours or till when it say its charged but it shud last ages after 2 hours at min 3 at maximum
